Images from a trip to the Doñana National Park and the Sierra Morena, in Andalucía, in search of The Iberian Lynx. The trip was organised by Avian Adventures, who also organised our excellent Iceland trip. We were accompanied by two of Avian's very experienced team; tour leader Shena Maskell and bird/Lynx guide Cristian Jensen. The trip was very well organised and thoroughly enjoyable. We stayed in two hotels in the different regions over our 7 night tour, with trips to different areas each day. The hotels were well sited and very good, with friendly staff and good local food in generous portions. We saw many different birds during our stay in the Doñana and were lucky enough to see 3 different Lynx during our stay in the Sierra Morena. Our success was due to the considerable skill of our guide, Cristian, who has detailed knowledge of the areas and of individual Lynx animals and territories. Avian's tour is a day or two longer than some similar tours, which greatly increases your chances of seeing a Lynx. Our group of 9 all felt very well looked after by Shena & Cristian throughout the tour. Highly recommended - trip report included in that section.
