Images from a one-day workshop, run by Bob Brind-Surch of Natures Photos, at the 'Crocodiles of the World' zoo in Oxfordshire. The centre was featured on the Channel 5 programme 'Croc Man' , starring Shaun Foggett, the owner of the Britain's first and only crocodile zoo. The centre has an extensive collection of crocodilians + other reptiles and a very enthusiastic and helpful 'Croc Team'.
The workshop involved photography through glass, macro photography in studio conditions and privileged access into some of the enclosures. The highlight was being able to get very close to a pair of American Alligators. The male, Albert, is a magnificent animal at 10.1 feet and 397 lbs in weight. It is a totally different experience from close-viewing behind glass. I found it very rewarding and exhilarating, being so close to a large Alligator.

The workshop was very challenging in low-light conditions, but very enjoyable and a great learning experience. Highly recommended. See http://www.naturesphotos.co.uk
